Mohammad Rizwan, a middle-order batsman Sohaib Maqsood and pacer Sohail Khan also have been present in Pakistan. Multan hopes the new players will give it the momentum to continue this time a step forward and support it to reach their final position.

On 21 February at National Stadium in Karachi, the Multan Sultan will start their matche against Islamabad United. Twice last season, these two teams faced each other. Before winning and bouncing back a second match with 9 wickets Multan Sultan lost their first match in 8 wickets.
