The first half of the competition will be staged at the National Stadium, while the Pakistani cricket headquarters at Gaddafi Stadium will host the second half of the competition, including the playoffs.
As Covid-19 is an ongoing situation, a decision would be taken closer to time with respect to crowd participation, but the event organisers are actively tracking the situation and stay in close contact with the government officials involved.
The organizers have ensured that each side plays an equivalent amount of day and evening games when planning the event schedule. In addition, the event promoters have sought to make optimal use of the weekends while organizing double-headers to ensure full visibility and follow-up.
The PSL 2021 Support Period will begin on 15 February, with a negative PCR test for the international players playing in the league arriving in Karachi. Upon arrival, before being permitted to practice and participate in the tournament, they would need two more negative PCR checks. A five-day isolation period with RT-PCR checks on days one and four would have to be completed by asymptomatic players or support personnel returning a positive result.
