Hafeez Rejects 'Disrespectful Offer' of PCB

Mohammad Hafeez, a seasoned all-rounder, rejected a central category C contract from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

According to ESPNcricinfo, Hafeez's treatment of a senior professional as him is not acceptable, and felt annoyed for his lowest category.

Since 2019, Hafeez has not agreed to a central agreement. However, considering their seniority, he got a match fee of category A for each game he played in 2020.

In the shortest possible format, he reinvented himself, scoring 331 in fewer innings, and posted the second-most high run after Dawid Malan (386).

Mohammad Rizwan was meanwhile elevated to the highest tier of Category B due to his excellent form. Also, a Group C central contract was awarded to Fawad Alam.

These three players have been promoted to the full list of central contracts scheduled until 30 June after an analysis of results by PCB.

Rizwan and Alam approved the offers according to sources. But Hafeez – now a T20I expert – "ideologically rejected" the offer.
