Islamabad United and Karachi Kings set an unique powerplay scores record

Islamabad United started their running war against Karachi Kings with a scoring of 77 runs, most of it by a PSL 6 team. Before he was caught at Waqas Maqsood, Alex Hales hit Karachi bowlers in the entire park and scored 46 off 21 balls. Islamabad took charge of chasing a target of 197, in spite of losing two early wickets. The two teams will be aiming for their second PSL points table victory and record their second win of the tournament.

Overall, Karachi Kings holds the highest score in the powerplay, reaching 78 runs against Islamabad to lose one wicket. In the first six overruns, Multihull was also able to score 78 runs, albeit with 2 wickets lost.

Karachi Kings reported their own earlier record, scoring the lowest powerplay runs in PSL this year. In the first six runs, Karachi could only handle 33 runs but took over the practice after the powerplay stopped. Sharjeel scored a superb century when Karachi joined the board in 196. The best partner in PSL history was Sharjeel and Babar, which scores for the first wicket 176 runs.
