A round of $1 million is raised to expand the telemedicine network in Pakistan by Sehat Kahani.

Sehat Kahani has raised $1 million of Pre-Series A round from leading global investors including the Islamic Development Bank based in Saudi Arabia; 10Pearl's Projects in Washington, the Silicon Valley-based Mentors Fund, and the Singapore-based Korean Impact Collective Funds and Impact Investment Exchange, founded by two female doctors who became entrepreneurs; Dr. Sara Saeed Khurram and Dr. Iffat Zafar Aga (IIX). 


The round was also sponsored by KASB and Pakistan's Din Party and other international and national angels. In 2017 the company launched the telemedicine chain for e-health clinics in under-serviced communities with a seed fund from Danish Elahi (Elahi Group of Companies) that enabled patients to access doctors instantly, the urbanized treatment model Sehat Kahani Mobile App for business and retail users.

This news was recorded during an event that took place on Monday 15 March 2021 in Pear Continental Hotel Karachi. The occasion was attended by Honorable Syed Aminul Haque, Honorable Reza Baqir, and Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Honorable Federal Minister of Information Technology (ICT), and Sehat Kahani's senior management and corporate partners in the field of banking, pharmacies, insurance, and other companies.

In the last 6 months alone, nation exports of services relating to information technology have risen by 40 percent. 5G networks are also scheduled to launch by the end of the year, and thanks to existing administration efforts, local smartphone manufacture in Pakistan has also begun."
