Ajinkya Rahane Responds to comment of Dale Steyn’s on IPL

India's vice-captain of Test, Ajinkya Rahane, says the Indian Premier League (IPL) offers players a platform to express themselves.

Dales Steyn, his remarks on the famous fast bowler in South Africa, said that Sri Lanka Premier League (LPL) and Pakistan Super League (PSL) are "more rewarding" than the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Steyn said he preferred IPL 2020 during an exclusive interview with a cricket website because revenue and not grasshoppers remain the focus of the world's largest league.

Rahane, who spoke with the media before the series' fourth and final test game against England, said that his focus is not on Steyn's response but on talking about the upcoming game.

The batsman from the right said that he didn't hear Steyn's comment and he spoke of the Test match.

I am here to talk about the fourth Test match and not here to talk about PSL or Sri Lanka Premier League.

He said, however, that the IPL gave a voice for players like him, without influencing Steyn's comments.

The veteran South African bowler caught Indian cricket lovers anger at his temerity about the IPL. Many have said that Steyn has lost his mojo and was dropped by the RCB squad in the International Permit Platform IPL now retreating from international cricket.
