Carbon 1 MK II is the World's First Phone with a Carbon Fiber Monocoque

Let us welcome Monocoque carbon 1 MK II, the world's first carbon fiber phone. It means that the phone is not supported by the internet. The external shell of the phone provides structural integrity, making it very thin and light (125g) (6.3mm).

Carbon fiber has all the wonderful characteristics, but only in smartphone use is disadvantageous - radio waves are blocked. However, in Germany, the Carbon Mobile team worked on this issue for years and found a solution.

The key is the proprietary HyRECM technology, which has been developed for four years – hybrid radio-enabled composite material. It combines high-quality German carbon fibers with a composite material which makes it possible for radio waves to pass through.

In addition, creating a shell in 2017 took 3 hours. The process has now been optimized and takes only 30 minutes. As mentioned above, all the components are attached to the carbon fiber itself with no internal framework. Less than 5% of the components used in the construction of the handset are made from plastic.
