Director PCB Want to select his nephew on the T20 Team in Pakistan

Director of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the National High-Performance Centre (NHPC), Nadeem Khan, has suggested that hard-hitting Batsmen like Azam Khan be included on the national T20 side.

Since his debut at the T20 domestic level in 2019 Azam, son of former wicketkeeper-batsman Moin Khan and Nadeem Khan's nephew, has put together some solid batting displays in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and in the Lanka Premier League (LPL).

In a discussion with Cricket Pakistan, NHPC Director said Azam Khan has greatly improved his overall game in the last few years. Azam still has a lot to do to improve his health.

The PCB Selection Committee asked Azam Khan to NHPC to work with world-famous coaches due to its performances, Nadeem Khan added.

Nadeem Khan pointed out that the registration fee was increased in light of the prevailing inflation with respect to the Cricket Club (CC) and city cricket associations (CCA). All the funds gathered are, however, spent on the CCs and the CCAs involved.

As to the premature end of PSL 6 in the PCB's bio-secure bubble, Director NHPC said it would be wrong to identify any player who would be interested in postponing the PSL. PSL-6 was tested for COVID-19.

Nadeem Khan has stated that PCB has learned from the error which resulted in PSL being suddenly suspended and will not repeat such errors in future.
