England's Dawid Malan breaks the record of Babar Azam's fastest 1,000 T20 runs

Batsman Dawid Malan broke Pakistan's record in the Twenty-20 Internationals on Saturday by Babar Azam, Pakistan's skipper (T20I).

Malan won the feat at Narendra Modi Stadium in the city of Ahmedabad during the match against India when his team chased a 225, Men in the Blue target.

Malan reached 1,000 runs in 24 innings, while Azam achieved the target in 26 intakes in 2018.

Indian skip Virat Kohli, just behind Azam, scored the target in 27 innings, and Aaron Finch, from Australia and Kannur, from India, Lokesh Rahul, scored in 29 innings.
