Possibility of reduction in petrol price

OGRA has forwarded the Petroleum Division a review of the price cut on petroleum products.

Petrol is expected to be Rs 1.5 per litre cheaper from April 1 in the summary sent. Furthermore, Rs 2.5 per litre can reduce the price of diesel.

On the other hand, the prices may stay the same if the government increases the levy. Currently, the oil charges are charged at Rs 11.23 per litre for petrol, while the diesel charge is charged at Rs 12.74 per litre. The Ministry of Finance will, in consultation with the Prime Minister, take the final decision to revise the price of petroleum products.
