Shafqat Mahmood announces the Matric and Inter Exams Decision

Shafqat Mahmood, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, has announced the completion of registration and intermediate exams in the country as scheduled.

He told an interprovincial meeting of education and the Ministers of Health to discuss the situation of VOCID 19 across the nation and to make a decision on the closure of schools. He talked about this during a press conference in Islamabad.

The board exams in Classes IX, X, XI, and XII, as set out in the timetable previously announced by the provincial governments and boards, were decided on by Shafqat Mahmood.

He said that the participants had decided to close down all schools in the districts with high levels of coronavirus positivity until 11 April.

In this decision, until 11 April, the provincial governments will remain closed in the hotspots for temporary shutting off of their institutions in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujrat, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, and Sheikhupura.

The Minister added that he would meet with the Examining Board in Cambridge to see if his examinations could be postponed.
