Shoaib Akhtar hits out at PCB after postpending of PSL 6

After season six of the postponement of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar launched a cricket board (PCB) in Pakistan and his medical panel.

After some Covid-19 cases, including the international players Fawad Ahmed, Tom Banton, and Lewis Gregory, the league was postponed to March 4.

"For complicit games, it is time. However, you do acknowledge that this can be properly maintained by the Medical Panel and the bio-safe bubble. The medical panel should be a work in progress. It should not be spared the medical council," Akhtar said.

"The Medical Board needs to be fined and I ask the Higher Authority for playing with the people's lives... Wasim Khan was all blamed and he was forced to face it all. Who brought Wasim Khan? Who brought him? He said, "Ehsan Mani [brought him]." "Mani Sahab, where is that? Is this Wasim Khan's responsibility to respond? The answer should be provided by Ehsan Mani."

He also felt upset with the PCB since the players and support staff could not book the whole hotel.

"You [PCB] aren't the smart one to book a hotel. There are people getting married, haircuts. Let rid of Daren Sammy. Why [Javed Afridi] would you violate the bi-secure bubble, I don't understand? I ask Wahab Riaz the same thing," he said.

"With the lives of people, you [PCB] played with the country's reputation, and at the same time you played," he said.

In addition, Mr. Imran Khan urged the prime minister to look into the matter as it hurt Pakistan's reputation.

"I request the higher authorities and the Minister, sir, to investigate this question. It's an insult to cricket Pakistan and Pakistan."
