Afiniti follows its plan to develop a tech city in KPK, and signs a KPK agreement

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (ITB) and IT company Artificial Intelligence, headed by the US billionaire, Zia Chishti, arranged a signing ceremony. The agreement was signed in the presence of Mr. Ziaullah Bangash, Science and IT Advisor, by Dr. Ali Mahmood, Managing Director, IT Board, and an Affiniti official.

With the assistance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board, Afiniti will set up a subsidiary in Peshawar to enable the company not only to invest regularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but also to provide the local population with jobs.

Science Adviser Ziaullah Bangash said that convincing a global giant such as Affiniti to begin operations in the province was a great achievement for the provincial government. He added that the PTI-led KPK administration is taking proactive measures to improve the IT sector and offer youth jobs.

Earlier last month Zia Chishti, the founder of Afiniti, showed an interest in large-scale Khyber Pakhtunkhwa investment including a provincial tech city. The invitation was presented during a meeting with KPK CEO Mahmood Khan, Afiniti CEO Zia Chishti. The meeting was also attended by the KP Finance Minister, Taimur Saleem Jhagra, and the district minister of the KP, Akbar Ayub Khan.

The planned technology city would according to the information have an initial potential of 10,000-15,000 individuals affiliated with IT, providing more than 50,000 jobs for youth as well.
