After the draft of the PSL, Janneman Malan finds the Urdu meaning of his name

Janneman Malan, a South African opening batsman, will make his Pakistan Super League (PSL) debut when it is chosen by Islamabad United, a two-time PSL champion in Tuesday's PSL replacement offer.

In the T20I match between South Africa and Pakistan, Malan made his international Proteas debut in 2019. He played only a few matches for South Africa ever since. But he recently became the first choice after great success in the T20I series with Pakistan, which he recently concluded.

Malan went on Twitter to say he was pleased to be part of the United Islamabad and PSL team. Malan said he had just learned what the meaning of his name Janneman is in Urdu; for all Pakistani fans, he hopes to be the Janneman.

In addition to Multan Sultans in the substitute draft, Malan is joined by South Africa's fellow Allrounder, George Linde. These two participate in the sixth edition of PSL in a heavy South African contingent. Also included in this tournament for different franchises are Faf du Plessis, David Miller, Imran Tahir, Rilee Rossouw, and Cameron Delport.

Malan was picked up in the gold division by Islamabad United as a substitute for Phil Salt, a British wicketkeeper. The middle-order batsman from Australia, Usman Khawaja, and Colin Munro, the Kiwi opener, are the other two signatures of the replacement draft of Islamabad United. Fawad Ahmed, the Australian spinner, and Ali Khan, the fast bowler in the United States, are the other two-time champions from outside.
