Babar Tops the List of Best 50+ Score Per Match Ratio in T20Is

Pakistan's captain in all formats, Babar Azam, has since his debut in 2015 been one of the most consistent performers in T20I cricket. For the last few years, Babar had been the number one T20I batsman in the world prior to losing his place in 2019 and finishing third.

His recent performances with South Africa, including his first T20I century and a half-century, have helped him rise once more. He is now second in the ranks of the ICC T20I Batsman.

This marked Babar's 18th fifty-plus T20I score comprising a century and 17 half-centuries, in 50 T20I contributions. In T20Is, Babar has the highest innings/fifty-plus scoring ratio. Babar reported a score of more than 50.0 after 2.77 interfaces, nowadays the highest in T20I cricket, with at least 50 T20I output being played, according to the latest figures.

The Indian captain Virat Kohli, who scored 28 half-centuries on 84 innings and has a scoring rate of 3.00 Babar follows him.

Take a look at the top five batsmen with the best score ratio:

Player Innings 50s 100s 50+ Innings/fifty-plus score
Babar Azam 50 17 1 18 2.77
Virat Kohli 84 28 0 28 3.00
Chris Gayle 57 13 2 15 3.80

David Warner 81 18 1 19 4.26

Babar didn't make a large impact on Zimbabwe in the first T20I but will continue his efforts to regain the number one place in T20I's ranking and to make a strong comeback.
