Controversy: Younis Khan Says He Has No Say in Team Management

The batting coach of Pakistan, Younis Khan, discussed the errors he made during his Protea trip with sports analysis on Monday and pointed out that certain impoverished hard-hitters like Asif Ali and Haider Ali have more chance of improving their mistakes.

When asked about the role of players and their decision-making behind the team, he explained: "I'm not involved in any decisions."

Khan also spoke about the success of new talent in the team and spoke particularly about Haider Ali and Asif Ali's young pairing.

He said, "Haider Ali hopes to be a top player."

"What did he score on his second ball in cricket international when he made his debut against England? He scored six and made his debut fifty. I have this written in my diary — I'm not making caricatures, I'm not writing about all the players and pieces, and I'm working for them," Khan added.

The batsman, the legend, clarified further that the management should give players such as Asif Ali more opportunities, since "any player is not as good as Javed Miandad or Shahid Afridi or Saeed Anwar."

He said,

The opportunity should be given for players like Asif Ali, haider alli and Danish Aziz to get the best from them. If you get too much support, you can also give your best and play for your country.

Khan praised Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam for having long innings against South Africa, and hopes that the pair will do much better during the forthcoming tour of Zimbabwe, expressing his dedication and expectation that the players will be able to improve after having had more playtime.
