Cricketers Women are likely to get maternity leave and other benefits of new contracts

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to include maternity breaks in Pakistan Women's Cricket Team players' central contracts. The report shows that after Pakistan's captain, Bismah Maroof, declared the break from cricket indefinitely, the decision had been taken to include maternity leaves to contracts.

On Twitter, Bismah broke the news:

The Women's Team Captain has been congratulated by PCB and wished her every success as she entered a new life chapter.

In accordance with the existing deal, there is no maternity leave provision and PCB is not offering help during this time to women cricketers. According to recent trends, women cricketers will get health benefits in their core contracts as well as indefinite maternity leave.

Bismah Maroof will continue to receive her monthly compensation in accordance with the central contract category 'A.' Bismah is the first cricket player to get maternity leave in Pakistan's history.
