Govt Announces Final Decision on Cambridge Exams

She has reiterated on Sunday that, as stated in the Date Sheet of Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), Cambridge International exams will proceed without delay or withdrawal.

The Minister was tweeting,

Ministers had planned to conduct A, AS, O, and IGCSE examinations in accordance with the date sheet declared by CAIES. The results were also fully agreed upon. No delay or cancellation will take place. Students who would like to take examinations in Oct/Nov will now pay the same amount.

The decisions were made by the Ministers of Health and Education of Sindh, Punjab, Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (PK), Azad Jammu, and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan at a special meeting.

"The meeting was also told that in the next period (Oct / Nov), Cambridge has agreed not to award teachers assessed qualifications for this year. Cambridge has guaranteed that all SOPs are specifically applied to," said the Minister.

Meanwhile, in the British Council, Pakistan's Director of CAIE and the Federal Department of Education, the high court of Lahore (LHC) issued notices challenging the physical O and A examination standard despite the country's increased use of coronavirus.
