Mohammad Hafeez Becomes The 2nd Pakistani Batsman to Cross 7,000 T20 Runs

Mohammad Hafeez, a veteran all-rounder, was the 22nd man in history to hit 7,000 T20 runs. During Pakistan's awful defeat to Zimbabwe in the second T20I in Harare, Hafeez achieved its personal milestone.

Hafeez is the only Pakistani second to achieve the milestone, as teammate Shoaib Malik is the only other Pakistani with a total score of 7000, and Malik played 10,488 in 389 innings.

For the past few years, Hafeez has been part of Pakistan's T20I side and in 2020 he finished the top T20I runner with 415 runs, of which four-half centuries were completed and his career-best performance with a score of 99*.

For a long time, Hafeez was on the national team; recently he played Pakistan's 100th T20I. In his first-ever T20I match in Pakistan in 2005 he was also on line against England where he won 46 matches, with Pakistan gaining five wickets for its first-ever T20I match.

In 2021, the 40-year-old was a little old, hitting just 65 runs in 6 innings at an average of 13.00. He is determined to get back into shape in a row against Zimbabwe, which is scheduled for Sunday and to help Pakistan win the third T20I series consecutively.
