PCB to Appoint a New Director for PSL

A new director for Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been appointed by the Pakistan Cricket Board and Babar Hamid has been relieved from office by the present director. For the last two years, Hamid, PCB's Commercial Director has been the PSL Director, and now the PCB has agreed to appoint a permanent Director.

Recently, PCB has faced the wrath of Pakistani fans and reporters, because of the management mismanagement in the board, Pakistan's leading T20 rivalry was delayed.

Further to a COVID-19 outbreak in the bio-safe bubble set-up, the sixth edition of PSL was postponed after just 14 matches. The infection has been acquired by at least nine representatives of different franchises. Dr. Sohail Saleem, PCB's Chief Medical Officer, resigned because he has been criticized seriously for his part in the dispute.

On its official website, PCB has already announced the position of PSL Director, with applicants invited to apply before May 13.

At the end of next month, the candidate will finish as the new managing director's first appointment is the remaining PSL 6 matches scheduled to start at Karachi on 1 June.

PCB has also announced that it will replace Dr. Sohail Saleem, and they look to hire the players and management of a sports psychologist at the National High-Performance Center in Lahore for the premiere time in history.
