PSL 6: Draft for remaining matches to take place next week

The drafting will take place next week in which the franchises will be given a list of players available for the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6 for the remainder of the matches," said sources on Saturday.

The sixth edition of the tournament was postponed on 4 March as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that there were increasing COVID-19 cases among the players and the officials involved.

Sources also stated that all of the best players have gone out, while those willing to participate in the tournaments can't participate in all other matches.

England is no longer available to play cricketers who played in early PSL matches, but players from Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa who are available don't belong to the top ranking team. In the meantime, Cricketers are available for participation from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the West Indies.

Sources say that Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, and Martin Guptill of New Zealand will form part of the remaining fixtures, of the 130 external players on the draught list.

In the Indian Premier League, Franchises have been made difficult by the failure of experienced international players for Platinum and Diamond as many of the cricketers who played in the early PSL matches.

There will be the remainder of the tournament matches in Karachi from 1 to 20 June, with players subject to a quarantine of one week from 22 May and additional sources.
