Spotify Increases The Prices Of Premium Soon

This week in the U.K, other areas of Europe, and the United States Spotify is increasing the premium fee.

Subscribers are sending emails on the amendments that will impact their arrangements for students, duos, and families across Europe and the United Kingdom, while prices for their family subscriptions in the US will only increase.

Subscriptions to Single Spotify Premium remain unchanged.

Spotify Family is growing monthly between $14.99 and $15.99 in the United States. The Duo, Premium, and Student subscriptions rates will, however, remain the same now.

In the UK, a price rise of £4.99 to £5.99 per month is currently observed by the Spotify Student. The subscription to the Duo (for two) costs £13.99, with the subscription to the family currently jumping from £14.99 to £16.99 a month.

The subscription rates for both the student and the duo will be increased by €1 for Ireland and a few other European countries. Today, as opposed to the former price tag, the family package would cost as much as €17,99.

At least one month before their rates adjust, Asian subscribers will be notified; prices remain unchanging for now.

"To represent the local macroeconomic conditions as well as satisfy consumer demand, we deliver a range of subscription plans tailored to the needs of our customers and occasionally change our rates," says a speaker from Spotify.

A few months after the company disclosed that "it currently has more than 150 million users" Spotify's price increase came. However, amid that figure, in the previous quarter, the app lost €125 million to a rise in subscription rates.
