Twitter Asked To Block Malicious Content against Superior Judiciary

The Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA), in order to block/remove malicious patterns and tweets which defame the upper judiciary, approached the Twitter top microblogging platform.

Twitter has been specifically advised that the content or patterns are not described as free speech and can instead be taken as one of the definitions that the Authority considers highly relevant. "Court Condemnation" Twitter has been told.

PTA has requested the removal of unlawful and offensive web content, in order to prevent any court prosecution, efficient and expeditious reply.

In accordance with the laws of the country, PTA remains committed to promote and endorse digital platforms.
