Xiaomi’s branding gets a major redesign

The Chinese company unveiled various products at the two-day Xiaomi launch event, including the Mi 11 series and the Mi Mix folding phone. The new appearance of the company logo and name was nevertheless the highlight.

Behind the new look that adopted a more minimalistic style was a popular Japanese graphic artist, Kenya Hara. Xiaomi claims that the logo gives the company itself more energy.

The principal changes are the rounded edges of the logo. The designer has also applied modern MI typography to the company's name, adding a new and pleasant look. He stressed his intention to sign the agile essence of the company's logo before moving into the next decade.

However, while the logo is sophisticated, it is what kind of goods will really matter to customers later see the light of day.
