DDWP approves the 5G & IoT project of Rs 650 million

The Federal Secretary of the IT and Telecommunications Ministers, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui presided at the committee room of the Ministry of the IT in Islamabad, the Third Meeting of the Departmental Development Working Party for FY 2021-22.

The meeting approved a 5G/IoT product and service tester project worth Rs 651.771 million as stated by DND. The meeting was a national centre.

The Chairman of the Programs Review meeting of the FY-2020-21 was Secretary of IT Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui.

The meeting highlighted the full use of funds allocated to IT projects by the IT & Telecom Ministry.


In particular, the chair was aware of the present state of projects in relation to the use of funds.

During the meeting, Federal Secretary Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui reiterated that funding for the projects was being rapidly expended.

In the current financial year, the Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui instructed the departments concerned to fully use the funds.

Senior IT & Telecom Ministry officers and NTC officials, Pakistan Software Export Committee (PSEB), SCO (Special Communications Organization) (SCO) and Punjab Information Technology Board were present at the meeting. The meetings included the participants (PITB).

Prime Minister Imran Khan earlier this morning laid the groundwork for some exciting IT projects in Gilgit-Baltistan, including a data centre and an IT park.
