KP Govt is Opening Schools in Five More Districts

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government reported that schools in five additional districts were opened since the rate of coronavirus positive reduced.

The schools in Bannu, Charsadda, Haripur, Nowshera, and Swabi would be permitted to restart their academic activities from 31 May, as reported by a notice issued by the authorities involved by KP.

The provincial government has approved the reopening of government schools, private schools, seminaries, model schools, academies, and schools in these districts.

The authorities have also instructed educational establishments to strictly comply with the COVID-19 standards (SOPs).

The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) had opened up educational institutions in districts with a positive ratio of under five percent earlier this month.

In the meanwhile, NCOC has also permitted provincial governments to decide on their own summer vacation. However, the Federal Government's 2020-21 education calendar sets out that summer vacations in institutions take place between 2 and 31 July.
