NED announces policy for admissions with no intermediate result requirement

Based on the student registration results, in the case of intermediate examinations not held in July, the NED University of Engineering and Technology decided to open admissions to the Bachelor Program 2021.

The decision was taken in detail during the recent session of the NED University Academic Council, in which recent restrictions on coronavirus were discussed in the province. It was decided that, unless intermediate examinations are conducted in July, candidates will be granted admission based on their Matriculation results.

All admissions granted in this situation are however admission will be subject to the results issued by the Intermediate Board.

The university will reduce the relative weight of the results for admission from 50% to 30% while the rest of the weight will be based on the written test.

Dr. Sarwish Hashmat Lodhi, Vice-Chancellor of the University of NED, showed three different admission models, which:

  1. Based on the intermediate results if the exams are finished in July.
  2. In the case of intermediate examination not carried out by July, the results are based on matriculation.
  3. If a guideline is issued by the Pakistan Engineering Council and Higher Education Commission. It's going to be considered.

The NED University institutions will follow the same policy.
