Pakistan Cricket Team Gets Permission to Travel to the UK

In spite of the government's travel ban, the Cricket Team of Pakistan was approved by the UK Government for travel to the country. Because of the Covid-19 crisis, Pakistan has been one of the few countries on the UK red list.

The team will travel to this country, and it is expected that the British Government will conform to the Covid-19 protocols.

The men in Green most likely would be on a chartered flight to England by the end of June because of travel restrictions. When you arrive in the country, the touring party must spend a certain number of days in quarantine.

In a three-match ODI series and a 3-match T20I series, Pakistan will face England on 8 July. Here  is the complete tour schedule:

Date Match Venue
8 July 1st ODI Sophia Gardens, Cardiff
10 July 2nd ODI Lord’s Cricket Ground, London
13 July 3rd ODI Edgbaston Stadium, Edgbaston
16 July 1st T2oI Trent Bridge, Nottingham
18 July 2nd T20I Headingley Cricket Ground, Leeds
20 July 3rd T20I Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester

The British Government has also given the Indian cricket team special permission to fly to New Zealand for the World Test Championship Final scheduled to take place in Ageas Bowl, Southampton, on 18 June. For the same reason, India was placed on the UK red list.
