Punjab govt extends COVID-19 lockdown till May 30

However, trade operations will be permitted to continue until 9:00 p.m., the Government of Punjab extended the lockdown date to COVID-19 announced on Saturday.

A notice of extension of COVID-19 lockdown was issued by the Punjab Health Department.

Medical services, hospitals, courier and postal services, electronics and gas, internet and mobile utilities, petrol stations, shops for basic products, food supply services have been exempted from these restrictions by the provincial authorities.

All pleasant parks are closed except for the jogging routes in the province. Offices can appoint 50% of the employees. Both public gatherings, sports, and cultural events will be totally banned. The cinema halls will remain closed.

Transport services with a capability of 50% will be allowed to run, while the industrial and agriculture industries have been removed.
