WhatsApp rolls out new sticker pack to express love for Asians

WhatsApp, a Facebook company, just unveiled a new pack of stickers to express Asia's love.

The update was provided through the Instagram messaging app. WhatsApp declared, "Share Asian love."

WhatsApp has condemned acts of xenophobia, violence, and intolerance after the recent hatred towards the Asian American community in the United States.

The popular app released a message on Twitter saying, "Now and every day, we stand beside to the Asian American Pacific Islander community."

More than 3.000 incidents of abuse against Asian Americans were reported between March and December 2020, according to the free media, which referenced Asian American advocacy groups. According to FBI statistics, there were just 216 incidents reported in 2019.

This is not the first time the site has created means of sending a social message.

WhatsApp has previously issued a special Earth Day Stickers pack to tell users how to 'protect' the earth.

"We created a sticker pack for Earth Day, which highlights measures that can be taken to protect and guide the planet," WhatsApp tweeted with a short video of the stickers which will be available in the pack.

Similarly, on the occasion of Mother's Day, which is mostly observed on May 9 throughout the world, it introduced its new pack of exciting 'Mama Love' stickers.
