Babar Azam Opens Up About Comparison With Virat Kohli

Cricket fans from Pakistan and India have continued to debate Babar Azam and Virat Kohli's best player. Babar has been seen as Pakistan's equivalent to Kohli since he broke into the international arena in 2015.

The all-format captain of Pakistan finally reacted to the comparisons and said he was proud of the Indian Captain, Virat Kohli. Azam said Kohli is one of the world's top players and has performed really well worldwide. He stated that he feels no pressure to compare himself with such a magnificent batsman.

Babar considers that these comparisons should ideally not be carried out, and players should focus on their own performance.

"I don't believe that a comparison needs to be made personally, but others do that, and I'm happy. My aim is to make Pakistan proud, carry out how it does, and help my team win the matches. Look, we are various players. I have got my playstyle, and he's got his style. So I try to achieve my best," stated Babar.

Babar stated that his aim is to keep his country consistent and to assist them to win matches as Kohli did in India. He stated he does not model Kohli's playing, but he sees him as an inspiration to raise his level.

While both batsmen have shown each other admiration, the two look to be competing healthily. Babar has recently been crowned as the global leader in ODI, taking Kohli to the top of the international list in three years' reign.
