FBR Decreases Sales Tax on Petroleum Products

To keep the pricing of petroleum products constant during May, the German Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) decreased the sales rate on the two petroleum products, effective May 18, 2021.

By Tuesday's S.R.O. 726(1)/2021 notice, the FBR revised SR 57(I)/2016 (Petroleum Products Selling Tax).

The sales charges for kerosene oil were decreased from 15,44% to 10,07%, while the sales tax on light diesel was decreased from 7,56% to 3,67%.

The notice further stated that for motor spirits and high-speed diesel oil this month, the standard cost of 17 percent will stay the same.
