ICC Nominates Hasan Ali for 'Player of the Month' Award for May

Hasan Ali, the Pakistan Pacer, has been nominated for the Month Award to the International Cricket Council (ICC). In the two-match test series against Zimbabwe, Hasan was the first wicket-taker to collect 14 wickets, including two 5 wicket hauls with an average of 8.92. As a result, Pakistan has won the hosts by 2-0.

Praveen Jayawickrama of Sri Lanka and Mushfiqur Rahim, wicketkeeper of Bangladesh, are two other nominees for the player of the month award. Jayawickrama took one Bangladesh Test and acquired an average of 11 wickets at 16.11. In the second test match, he led Sri Lanka a win, collecting Sri Lanka's first best match figures.

On the other side, Mushfiqur played against Sri Lanka in one test match and three ODIs in the month. He won the 2nd ODI for a century, and Bangladesh helped win a series against Sri Lanka, finishing with 237 runs as the highest run-scorer in the ODI series.

Since his return to the international arena early this year, Hasan Ali is in brilliant condition. After more than a year of injury excluded from international cricket, Hasan came to the national team with a certain flair and collected 40 wickets in 11 matches in all three formats on average, 15.37.
