Players to Sign Social Media Special Clause in Next Central Contracts

Introducing a particular clause in upcoming central contracts, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCBs) intends to restrict social media usage by cricketers.

The particular clause requires national actors to not expose the team's work throughout any series on social networking platforms.

Inside sources argue that PCB has been exploring measures to reduce players' activity on social media for quite some time now.

The present central contracts expire on 30 June, and it is expected that players would sign the following central contracts for 3-ODI and 3-T20I series before leaving for England.

Fast-bowler Hasan Ali and the all-rounder Faheem Ashraf should be offered central contracts for opening central contracts this year, as do Batsman Shan Masood and middle-order batsmen Haris Sohail and Asad Shafiq.

Opener Fakhar Zaman and Fawad Alam are expected to be elevated to the B category of PCB central contract list, with the C category C contracts expected for Haris Rauf and Mohammad Hasnain.
