Swat to Get 4G Services Soon

The federal government decided to launch high-speed broadcast services in our services and under-served parts of the Swat district to benefit local residents and promote tourists.

When addressing the media, Murad Saeed, Federal Minister for Communications, following the formal contract signing ceremony, announced that the cost estimated at Rs in the next twelve months was announced in the next twelve months. 781 million, 4G services will be offered in the Swat district.

In 50 muazas across 1,501 square kilometres in Swat, more than 65,000 local inhabitants would benefit from 4-G services.

He stated that the Federal government focuses on improving the country's underdeveloped regions so that young people in such places can achieve their full potential.

In addition, a state-of-the-art Software Technology Park (STP) in Mingora (Swat) was also decided by the federal state.

In this regard, Syed Amin Ul Haque, the Federal Minister of IT and Telecommunication, stated more than 500 startups would work in the software park to provide almost 2,000 skilled candidates directly or indirectly, and 25 STPs would be built up around the country by the end of this year.

He pointed out that between July 2020 and April 2021, IT exports grew by 45.8% to $1.7 billion, adding that annual exports of IT from Pakistan will be $2 billion by 2023.
