Top news & media websites hit by major internet outage

On Tuesday morning, many outages hit social media, government, and worldwide news websites. In addition, some reporting shows the glitch in the cloud service provider Fastly in the US.

The problem affecting the sites cannot be confirmed immediately by Reuters.

According to its website, Fastly has investigated "the possible impact of our CDN services on performance."

"Degraded performance" has shown most of the coverage areas of Fastly.

The retail website of Inc. also seemed to be down separately. Amazon was not available for comment immediately.

Nearly 21,000 users of Reddit have reported social media platform troubles, while more than 2,000 have reported Amazon issues, according to the website for outage monitoring.

According to the Downdetector website, Amazon's Twitch also had an outage.

The Websites of the Financial Times, the Guardian, the New York Times, and Bloomberg News, amongst others, also faced some outages.
