Xiaomi to Release Flagship Device with UWB and in-display Camera

Xiaomi will soon be starting a UWB flagship device with an in-display camera, according to several recent reports of the Digital Chat Station. The new flagship is the same calibre as the Xiaomi MI 11 Ultra. The system is fitted with UWB tracking technology and an under-display selfie camera.

UWB is not a new technology on the market. The latest flagship devices of Apple and Samsung have the same technology currently available on the market. This technology is used to track the Galaxy S21 and iPhone 12, using Samsung SmartTag or Apple AirTag, respectively. Xiaomi plans to introduce UWB-compatible and trackable accessories only to compete with them.

The technology has not yet been launched to the in-display selfie camera. But a new Google patent has to some part, solved this by using a switching prism.

Recently launched, Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra's amazing cameras are top of the list. We may expect the new smartphone to have the same camera setup (if not more). In addition, the device can provide 120 W wired fast charging and 70 W fast wireless charging support.

Obviously, as Xiaomi did not reveal anything about the device, it's a little early to say. In any case, over the next few days, we will get more details about the flagship.
