KP Extends Summer Holidays for Students

Driving the sparkling heat and the possibility of an emergence of the fourth pandemic wave, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) declared a 20-day extension in summer.

Private schools, however, force pupils to attend courses irrespective of government directives.

In a prior announcement, the administration declared from Monday 12 July the beginning of academic activity in the whole of KP. On Sunday, however, it published a new notice offering an extension until 31 July during vacations.

It further said that the Examination of the Board will continue under careful adherence of the operational procedures of the coronavirus standard (SOPs).

Previously, due to an unprecedented temperature spiking the provincial administration scheduled summer holidays for all private and government schools from 1 to 11 July.

Meanwhile, the distrust among kids and their parents is generating discontent in private institutions.
