Moderna’s COVID-19 Vaccine is approved in Saudi Arabia

Moderna Inc's COVId-19 vaccination in the Kingdom has been authorised by Saudi Arabia. On Friday, its Food and Drug Authority confirmed the vaccination and announced that shortly the two-dose vaccine will be imported by the involved authorities.

Approval decision was taken on the basis of the data supplied by the business for registration and use of the Moderna vaccine.

The efficacy of Delta coronavirus vaccine was demonstrated in a laboratory trial, however it decreased somewhat compared to the original strain.

Pfizer Inc., AstraZeneca Plc, and Johnson & Johnson Coronavirus vaccines had already been licenced by Saudi Arabia.

Also approved last month for young people between 12 and 18 years of age the Saudi food and drug authority (SFDA) and allowed the administering of Pfizer for persons 18 years of age and older.
