Pakistan Receives More Doses Of Pfizer Vaccine

On Wednesday, ARY News, citing health ministry sources, received new doses of America's Pfizer Vaccine in Pakistan.

14,000 doses of the vaccine were reported aboard a foreign airline trip to Islamabad International Airport.

Upon arrival, airport officers turned over the vaccine kept in refrigerators of the ultra-cold chain to authorities of the Extended Immunisation (EPI) to take it to its main warehouse in the federal capital.

Sources said the country is likely to receive additional doses of the vaccine this month, Pakistan signed a deal with Pfizer Inc for the procurement of 13 million doses of the vaccine.

Last month in Pakistan under the Covax program, 100,600 doses of Pfizer vaccine were supplied.

United States vaccine would be used for people with chronic and weak immune systems. Pfizer will also be shot by those traveling abroad.
