Summaries of two-year programmes for Karachi University

University of Karachi determined that government and private institutions around Sindh will begin its two-year BA-, BSc-, BCom and MA programmes.

The Academic Board of the University of Karachi has adopted a decision and admissions to two-year diplomas will start in the following days.

The Karachi University, on the other hand, postponed the two-year Higher Education Committee (HEC) associate degree programme at universities in the region until June of next year.

It is worth noting that, as a result of severe concerns over the quality of such projects, HEC graduated two-year programmes such as BA/BSc and MA/MSc under its Bachelor Education Policy in early January of this year.

However, in a recent statement HEC authorised HEC to postpone its implementation by June 2022 and restoring their BA/BSc and Master's/MSc two-year degrees in the execution of the HEC Undergraduate Education Policy.

Meanwhile, Professor Khalid Iraqi, Vice Chancellor of Karachi University, established the Dean Education committee to suggest that HEC's two-year degree programme in schools be phased-in till June 2011.
