Xiaomi is the second largest smartphone company in the world

Throughout 2021 global smartphone shipments continued to grow, increasing by 12% in the second quarter of the year.

According to international analytical company Canalys, smartphone demand continues to be strong across the board, as people throughout the world are used to pandemic-led work-from-home trends.

With the demand continuing to rise, rivalry also increased amongst technology firms that battled to transport products throughout the world. The company's figure is 19%, followed by Xiaomi (17%), which has grown by almost 83% since quarter-end. Samsung's number (19%) is 0.1.

If the growth rate continues to increase at its current pace, Samsung's technology company from China may soon become the top smartphone provider in the world by the end of the year.

However, Xiaomi must work on their marketing, which is not compared to the likes of Oppo and Vivo, the Chinese firms who have never shy away from big expenditures to advertise their goods.

In any event, though, Xiaomi might even not need to invest heavily in marketing because its phones are cheaper and offer superior hardware than the manufacturers mentioned above and may eventually tip Samsung in worldwide shipments by the end of the third quarter of this year.
