New York University NYU Offers Falak Sufi Scholarship 2021

The Falak Sufi Scholarship is offered for Pakistani students by the New York University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. The Sufi Falak Scholarship supports students who may otherwise not be able to receive a graduate program from countries with a majority Muslim population in South Asia. Choose students, ideally, females who will take part in the Near Eastern Master's Program for a two-year.

In 1983 in Pakistan, Falak Sufi was born. She had a generous heart, the desire to communicate and transform the world, and a brilliantly innovative, vibrant mind. She has a degree in Political Science from the National University of Singapore. She began publishing work that showed her great skills and aptitude as a young person.

Women and gender in South Asia, the history, and the power of humanities were among her interests. No list can however convey the range of topics she was thinking about, speaking about, and publishing about. When she died unexpectedly in New York in 2008 she was a much-loved, deeply admired Near Eastern Studies graduate at the Kevorkian Center at New York University.
