Following the Punjab government's ratification of the grace marks policy, all education boards in the province have opted for announcing Inter results on 14 October at 5:00 pm and matric results on the 16th of October.

On Wednesday, Javed Iqbal Bukhari, the Secretary for Higher Education in Punjab, announced that Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and his cabinet had approved the summary of grace marks for matriculation and intermediate results. The Chief Minister has also asked the education boards to publish the results within 48 hours, according to him.

The policy of grace marks was accepted at the Sub Educational Ministers Conference (IPEMC) last month, but it needed the provincial government's final approval before it could be implemented.

The intermediate results were supposed to be out by the 30th of September, and the matric results were supposed to be out by the 16th of October across Punjab. According to reports, all BISEs had already prepared results and were waiting for the summary to be approved to give basic 33 marks to failing students.
All nine education boards, including BISE Lahore, BISE Multan, BISE Gujranwala, BISE Bahawalpur, BISE DG Khan, BISE Faisalabad, BISE Rawalpindi, BISE Sargodha, BISE Board, and BISE Sahiwal, have announced that SSC and HSSC Part-II results will be published within 48 hours now that the approval has been given.

Over 1.4 million Grade 10 and 12 students in Punjab who had applied with various education boards and had been awaiting results will be pleased by this development.
